Project overview
A useful digital system before a decorative website.
A connected commerce, membership and learning platform for a Pakistani educational publisher serving Classes 9–12.
Challenge
Maryam Publications needed more than a catalogue. The website had to organize curriculum-aligned books, support online purchasing, provide account-based learning experiences and make a large set of class- and subject-specific resources easier to discover.
Strategy
The project was framed as a connected education platform: public discovery for students and parents, structured commerce for publications, and authenticated experiences for courses and practice. Information was organized around the way visitors search—by class, resource type and learning need—rather than around internal publishing terminology alone.
UX and content approach
Primary journeys were separated into browse books, choose a class, prepare for exams, access courses and manage an account. Repeated navigation paths help visitors move between public information, products and learning without losing context. Plain labels and prominent class groupings reduce the amount of prior knowledge needed.
Visual system
The live brand uses a warm editorial palette, book-led product presentation and academic cues. The supplied homepage screenshot shows the approved working direction in context; all client marks and publication artwork remain the property of their respective owners.
Technical solution
The platform uses WordPress, a custom theme, custom plugins, Elementor and e-commerce/membership functionality. Custom development supports the operational requirements that are not handled cleanly by off-the-shelf templates, including membership-related controls and account workflows.
- WordPress with a custom theme and Elementor editing
- Custom plugins supporting membership and account requirements
- E-commerce catalogue, checkout and customer-account journeys
- Search-friendly class, resource and product architecture
Responsive showcase
The content hierarchy is designed to keep class selection, product browsing, registration and account access usable on smaller screens. Product grids collapse, navigation is simplified and key calls to action remain visible without relying on hover.
Intended business outcomes and available evidence
The intended outcomes are a clearer catalogue, easier access to publications and learning resources, and a stronger organic-search foundation. Traffic is reported as increasing. The supplied 28-day Search Console snapshot records 1.16K clicks, 18K impressions, 6.5% CTR and an average position of 4.7; these values are a point-in-time platform snapshot, not a guarantee of future performance.
